I’m not famous or a NYT bestseller or a social media influencer or a somebody of any kind.
Okay, I mean, everyone is somebody, but I’m just a totally regular somebody.
A writer who’s serious about writing, and a teacher who’s serious about teaching, who launched Writing in the Dark on Substack two years ago, and has watched it grow since then from zero to a creative community of 15K members. It’s the coolest thing I’ve ever created, I love it a lot, and I’m frankly stunned by what this place has become in just 24 months, simply through me doing what I love to do. In fact, this fall we launched an adjacent 9-month WITD: THE SCHOOL program that’s related to but separate from Writing in the Dark, and we’re about to announce registration for our first in-person offering, WITD: THE CAMP.
It’s changing my life.
