I just published my first note on Substack Notes, and would love for you to join me there! I’m going to focus on boosting other writers as well as being engaged with other writers and, most of all, engaging with all of you, which means sharing some of my own thoughts and photos and also linking to songs, stories, poems from around the web and from other Substacks. So far, Notes feels kind of like Twitter, but a lot friendlier. So, I feel like someone as sincere as I am might have a better chance on Notes. I hope you’ll give it a try with me!
Notes is a new space on Substack for us to share links, short posts, quotes, photos, and more. I plan to use it for things that don’t fit in the newsletter, like work-in-progress or quick questions.
How to join
Head to substack.com/notes or find the “Notes” tab in the Substack app. As a subscriber to Writing in the Dark with Jeannine Ouellette, you’ll automatically see my notes. Feel free to like, reply, or share them around!
You can also share notes of your own. I hope this becomes a space where every reader of Writing in the Dark with Jeannine Ouellette can share thoughts, ideas, and interesting quotes from the things we're reading on Substack and beyond.
If you encounter any issues, you can always refer to the Notes FAQ for assistance. Looking forward to seeing you there!
It’s been great for me so far. It’s called ‘Joy Scrolling’, for now at least. I’m new to Substack and Notes has been great.
I love this because long ago I realized I was too sincere for Twitter -- and haven't returned since! Maybe I will give this a try...
