I wrote last month about beauty, about finding it. Then, literally the very day after I wrote to you, I got Covid again, for the second time in four months. Yes, it came on the first day of my trip to Lake Michigan with Max and Billie. I did get quite sick, as did Max. And then, in the midst of all that, Billie got a call from Ramsey County, with whom they’d been recently licensed as a foster parent. The call was to let them know a placement was about to take place, a beautiful 21-month-old boy, who, on the day after we got home from Michigan, became a wonderful, hilarious, extremely energetic and incredibly wise member of our family, for now.
