“Behind every beautiful thing, there's some kind of pain.”
― Bob Dylan

Before we dive into pain, our huge congratulations to Trisha Prosser, whose quietly devastating micro essay, “At Ten,” has been published by Five Minutes Lit. Trisha, who refined this essay from an excerpt of a longer work in order to submit it to Five Minute Lit as a 100-word micro essay, wrote us to say:

This piece was influenced by a WITD exercise, early on in my joining WITD, when we were writing in present tense; I wrote about Daddy teaching me to water ski.

Again, congratulations, Trisha! And to everyone, we love to hear about your publications, breakthroughs, and other successes with work you develop in WITD or otherwise! And, to note, Five Minutes Lit is a great venue for any tiny fragments of beauty you create here—your snippets—that you’re not sure what to do with!
