I bought the book this afternoon and will be completing all exercises and anticipate week four on Wednesday. Thank you!

HI, Denise, sorry if I missed these questions earlier! The essays for this intensive are not available online, so it is necessary to have the book (that's been in all the posts about the intensive, but I know it is easy to miss those details). That said, I was able to get a preview of the tomato essay and share that in the week one post, so you should be able to get started. And I hope your husband is on the mend! https://writinginthedark.substack.com/p/is-sorrow-the-true-wild

Hello and thank you for your hard work. I need to get back to this 12 week intensive starting with week one and Ross gay readings. How do I get there? There’s so much information on this site. It becomes confusing thank you.

YAY! We are very very very glad it's useful. We're building it out all the time, so it keeps expanding, too. We have ... a LOT of content here. We want you to be able to find and make use of it! Our archive is not meant to be static.

Thank you for this. I'm clicking on links but it only takes me to your archive list. Are you able to help?

Jeannine Ouellette's avatar

The majority of our archive is paywalled, so if you are a free subscriber, that may be the issue?

Hi, again, Claire--hmmm I just looked up your profile in our subscriber base and it looks like you are a paid subscriber, so you should be able to click on any link in this Index and access the full post. The first links are Subtitle Links, which take you to more complete sections with a fuller selection of links, and those are the ones that take you through to full posts. See if that makes sense?

Hello. I'm a paid subscriber

Some Navigation Links, like "Most Popular Posts" or "Visceral Self" take you to a specific archive of posts that meet that definition--example, all the posts that are tagged Visceral Self. So, it's not our complete archive, it's a specific section of the archive that falls under that category. Again, hope this helps.

We have a LOT of content and have tried to organize it in the best ways we can within the limitations of what is possible on this platform. We're hoping to continue to improve that as Substack tools improve, as well!

Yes, just saw that and added another comment! Hopefully that clears things up, but let me know. The Subtitle Hyperlinks are navigation tools that take you to specific sections of the Index where in turn you should find the live links to specific posts. Please let me know if you still have any difficulty!

Or, if you are actually hitting paywalls, that's weird and should not be happening, so let me know that, too.

Thank you both for putting this index together! I was losing a lot of time scrolling around looking for the challenge/step I wanted in the series I was working through and this is a lifesaver! I'm sure it was a lot of work for you so as a member/writer, just wanted to let you know that I really, really appreciate it!

This is fantastic! Thank you for providing a way to orient on a platform that often has me adrift (in a good way, but still). Ha!

Yay, we are so glad. The platform has us too often adrift as well, which is why we built this (and we will continue expanding it--it's a work in progress!).

Hello Jeannine and Billie: I gave an annual gift subscription some days ago to a friend, with this email, writer@louisawellness.com, but she said she has not received notification. Meanwhile, when I clicked on today's post of the Thursday Thread I get TWO copies of the post appearing on my desktop side by side! Does the system think I have subscribed twice, since I used my credit card on file? Could you help me rectify! Thank you! Amy

Amy, that's so weird. Can you send this via email to admin@elephantrockwriting.org and Billie can try to figure it out?

Firstly, thank you so much for this! I know it was a time-consuming task and I’m very grateful! It’s a great way to make your content so much more accessible for all of us! Kudos!! 👏🏻

Since you asked, may I make a small request? I’d love a list of your favorite craft books, as I grow my own library. I’m trying to keep a running list as you refer to them in your posts, but I’m afraid I’ve missed some. Whenever you have time, it would be greatly appreciated - I know you’re very busy at the moment! Happy revisioning!! And Billie is very busy as well. Love the beautiful mural you created for Z. May Z feel enveloped in your love while slumbering amongst the pines!

I really love this idea. We can work on that kind of a resource list for sure. Than you for this suggestion and for your wishes for Z.
