A quick tour of WITD's innermost heart chambers! Here's what we do here, where to start, how to get the most from the posts + how to submit your own work
Question: is there a place or a thread where we can ask questions? Craft questions or the such? I wonder where/how to register for WITD school. I'm putting a chapbook together and have some questions on format? Things like that.
Hi, Dhana! I am thinking that maybe for this week's Thursday Thread, I can invite these kinds of questions--and I can answer, but so can others. A crowdsourcing of writing questions and answers.
Hello, I'm an author from South Africa, I'm so intrigued and drawn to your writing world and community. I am worried I may not have access to books you are referencing and often if they are available they are costly to buy here. Will that exclude me from being able to participate fully?
LOVE WITD!! I'm here, on and off...sometimes I publish, sometimes I chicken out! Other times, like recently, with encouragement from the person who introduced me WITD (@Maureen Helen) I take the plunge and write a blog post and publish it, based on one of your exercises, Jeannine. My latest is "Nessie" inspired by week 1 of For the Joy and the Sorrow. <3
I'm newish here and just learning the ropes so this was a wonderful gift for me today! I'm taking off my worry hat and putting on my adventure hat and will dive into these places you speak of!
There’s so much fertilizer for writers here. It can almost feel overwhelming. Then Jeannine comes out with another one of her gentle reminders to practice self-compassion and you are once again happy to rest here in this beautiful space she’s created.
That was extra lovely to see your cup with beautiful birds and your notebooks and pen from your own wruting time this morning. Thank you for sharing. And yes, WITD is all of those things all wrapped up in wonderful.

Not at all! We rarely use books in our intensives. In fact, only once have we. Usually, everything we look at is available online!

Amazing, congratulations!! Please share the link, if you like. And I am so glad Maureen Helen brought you here. xo
Thank you Jeannine.

I am so very happy to hear this. We could all do with a bit less worry, especially where *none* is needed!!
My fav substack, hands down!
❤️❤️❤️

Thank you, Meg. We're always enough, right? It's actually true.
